Traveler Social & Rick Steves’ Travel Store

This month we will be hanging out chatting about travel in Edmonds, Washington. We chose this location so we could also do a field trip to Rick Steves’ Travel Store. If you have ever wondered what Rick Steves’ sells for travelers going to Europe – meet us and find out. (P.S. the products work for any country, but Rick’s focus is Europe.)

The traveler social part will be a casual gathering of anyone that wants to chat about countries around the world. Ask questions about future destinations. Share tips on places you have been. Simply hang out with fellow travelers.

We will be meeting at a British pub across the street from Rick Steves’ store. Super convenient if you are in the market for travel gear. Have I mentioned that I travel the world with a Steves’ backpack? Or that I have had that bag for over 30 years??

This event will be on a donation basis. To join in the Travel Social just grab a FREE ticket below. This will help us know how many tables to save at the pub. The exact location will be sent to those that get a ticket. The venue offers beers plus other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Also, a full food menu. Please support the venue by purchasing something. There is free street parking in the area.

Travel Social Facilitators: Shyla & Dan Bare are International Travel Coaches with Wild Spirit Travel. They started organizing traveler socials after moving to Portland at the end of a seven-year trip around the world. The goal was to connect with other like-minded travelers. At the gatherings they also realized they had lots of information to share so started doing private Travel Coaching sessions and wrote the bestselling Before You Go Abroad Handbook .

Fine Print: We will follow Washington State Covid-19 protocols that may be in place when we meet, currently there are none. The CDC does recommend that people get a Covid-19 vaccine/booster. Please be courteous of other travelers, do not come if you have Covid-19, flu, or cold symptoms. Photos taken at the event may be used by Shyla & Dan Bare, or Wild Spirit Travel, in social media, websites, or print. They may promote future meetups, travel talks/classes, the Global Traveler Pass, or general Wild Spirit Travel activities.
