Traveler Social – SE Portland

If yes to any of these questions, then join us at the March Traveler Social. This casual event is a fun way to meet other travelers and get tips for future trips.

This month, we will be in SE Portland, OR, at a Brew Pub on Hawthorne. The exact location will be sent to those that get a ticket. The venue offers beers plus other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Also, a menu of pizzas, sandwiches, and salads. Please support the venue by purchasing something. There is street parking, as well as being near bus stations and the streetcar.

Traveler Socials are free to Global Traveler Passholders. If you have purchased a pass, RSVP by getting a free ticket below. Not yet a passholder? The single event ticket price is $5. Charging a small fee helps to reduce no shows. Signing up and not attending is hard on organizers, venues, and other members. Honor the RSVP system – if you sign up show up.

Travel Social Facilitators: Shyla & Dan Bare are International Travel Coaches with Wild Spirit Travel. They started organizing traveler socials after moving to Portland at the end of a seven-year trip around the world. The goal was to connect with other like-minded travelers. At the gatherings they also realized they had lots of information to share so started doing private Travel Coaching sessions and wrote the bestselling Before You Go Abroad Handbook .

We will follow Multnomah County Covid-19 protocols that may be in place when we meet, currently there are none. The CDC does recommend that people get a Covid-19 vaccine/booster. Please be courteous of other travelers, do not come if you have Covid-19, flu, or cold symptoms. By registering for this event, you are acknowledging that an inherent risk of exposure to Covid-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By attending this event, you and any of your guests assume all risks related to exposure to Covid-19 and agree not to hold Wild Spirit Travel, Shyla or Dan Bare, or event volunteers liable for any illness, sickness, hospitalization, or injury that may arise from the event.

Photos taken at the event may be used by Shyla & Dan Bare, or Wild Spirit Travel, in social media, websites, or print. They may promote future meetups, travel talks/classes, the Global Traveler Pass, or general Wild Spirit Travel activities.
