Traveler Social & Celtic Music

Hang out with travel-minded people at the August Traveler Social. Then stay to enjoy a free Celtic music concert.

This Traveler Social will be at Edmonds City Park (exact location sent in confirmation email) just north of Seattle. The plan is to snag a quiet area for the traveler social part. Do bring whatever you enjoy drinking (coffee, tea, juice, soda, water, etc.) and a snack or picnic lunch if you want. Also bring a lawn chair and perhaps a sunhat. No worries if you can’t arrive on time or stay for the entire event. Come for what you can. We are a relaxed group of travelers.

Travelers will gather at 1:15 to share stories, tips, and travel dreams. The free concert starts at 3pm. A bit before that, we will move near to the music. This free concert in the Park is part of the Edmonds City programs. The music is a Contemporary Celtic band.

Traveler Socials are free to Global Traveler Passholders. If you have purchased a pass, RSVP by getting a free ticket below. Not yet a passholder? Then please make a donation at the event (suggested donation is $5). There are expenses to planning traveler socials so please help out.

If you do sign up, please plan to attend. If your plans change simply send us an email. However not showing is hard on organizers, venues, and other members. Honor the RSVP system – if you sign up show up.

Travel Social Facilitators: Shyla & Dan Bare are International Travel Coaches with Wild Spirit Travel. They started organizing traveler socials after moving to Portland at the end of a seven-year trip around the world. The goal was to connect with other like-minded travelers. At the gatherings they also realized they had lots of information to share so started doing private Travel Coaching sessions and wrote the bestselling Before You Go Abroad Handbook .

Fine Print: Refunds will only be made if the entire event is cancelled. We follow Covid-19 protocols that may be in place when we meet, currently there are none. The CDC does recommend that people get a Covid-19 vaccine/booster. Please be courteous of other travelers, do not come if you have Covid-19, flu, or cold symptoms. Photos taken at the event may be used by Shyla & Dan Bare, or Wild Spirit Travel, in social media, websites, or print. They may promote future meetups, travel talks/classes, the Global Traveler Pass, or general Wild Spirit Travel activities.
